Meet Your Coach

What Inspired Me to Go Into Health Coaching?

My name is Jessica, and I’m a Jersey girl, born & raised. I’ve got three children who are all almost grown, and three handsome dogs. I’ve been with my parter Joe for 7 years, but we’ve known each other much longer. I’m in love with nature, and life in general and I owe much of that to my wellness journey.

Since I was young, maybe about 5, I’ve been interested in having a healthy body. If you were to ask my mother, she would tell you that I used to ask for V8 and celery sticks in my lunch rather than the sugary treats my peers were always asking for. So, I guess in some ways I have always been intrigued by the health and wellness of my own body. Walks with my grandparents turned into an interest in sports, and that transformed into a love for the gym, Zumba, and just working out in general.

The Catalyst

When my gallbladder ruptured a few years ago, I had to slow down quite a bit to heal. I needed to put some weight on quickly, so I threw the health regime I had worked so hard on out the window so that my body would heal. Even though I had to slow down, I made it a point to still do what I could. I’d take walks even though there were days it seemed almost impossible. My dogs were a major help in this; they had to walk, so I did too.

Healing that should have taken a year or two ended up taking much less time, and before I knew it I was tubing on Lake George.

What’s my coaching style?

I am not the health coach that is going to tell you that in order to be healthy, you need to stop having fun and doing things that you love!

I love going out with my friends, the key is moderation. That is what we will work on together.

I am here to build up your mind, body, and spirit, not tear you down.
